Lake Nona is a 17-square-mile planned community in Orange County, Florida. Lake Nona is within the city limits of Orlando and is located southeast of Orlando International Airport. The central Florida Greenway passes through the area.

The community is named for a large lake in the northern part. It is served by Lake Nona High School, Lake Nona Middle School, Northlake Park Elementary School, and Laureate Park Elementary School.

It’s also home to Lake Nona Medical City, which contains several centers for biomedical research and education including the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, the College of Nursing, and the College of Dental Medicine.
