Lake Gertrude

Lake Gertrude is a spring-fed lake, with homes of varying ages, styles; the largest homes are on the lakefront. The older of the ranch homes range from approx.. 1500 sq. ft with the larger homes are found on the lake.

Planned Communities:

Located within 1.5 to 3 miles from downtown, there are several communities with features including zero-lot-line, custom builds, and large lots. Chesterhill was built in the 1980s featuring custom homes on lots consisting of 1 acre or more. Lots are available in the second phase. (HOA).

Dogwood Mountain Reserve

Located on the other side of Dogwood Mountain, this is a newer subdivision that is at the top of the hill. There are lots available with multiple builders on hand to bring your home ideas to life.

Just 1.5 miles southeast of downtown Mount Dora, this community offers custom build homes from approx.. 2500-3500 sq. ft. About Mount Dora, Florida

Once a winter retreat for fishermen, hunters, and boaters, Mt. Dora is named for the plateau on which it dwells, 184 feet above sea level and Dora comes from Dora Ann Drawdy who, in the mid-1880s was an early settler in the town. Surveyors named Lake Dora after her.
