There are several golf courses just on the outskirts of the city including Ridgewood Lakes Golf & Country Club, Providence Golf Club and Southern Dunes Golf Course. The ChampionsGate Golf Club has not one, but two Greg Norman designed courses, as well as 18 holes of miniature golf.

Davenport may not be big, but that doesn’t mean you have to go far to find good food. There are a number of enticing restaurants in the city and the surrounding communities where you can find all types of cuisine. Some popular spots include Ovation Bistro & Bar for steak and ribs, Davenport Diner for hearty breakfasts, and Giovanni’s Pizza and Subs for Italian fare.
Natural Surroundings
If you love getting out in nature, Davenport is close to a number of parks and wildlife management areas. To the southwest of the city there are several lakes where you can explore hiking trails, go kayaking and spot native birds. The Northeast Regional Park has a soccer field, tennis court, jogging trails and a dedicated area for dogs to play. It also has a lake with a boat ramp and fishing access.
